With some alarm, I noticed the other day that you can go and buy yourself a brand new Vauxhall Zafira for pretty much ￡30,000. Even allowing for a discount, that is still an astounding amount of money to pay for a people carrier, however wonderful it may be. A few years back I went to look at some old-school Zafiras with a view to buying one for people-moving duties. I didn't think they were very well finished or that impressive to use or drive, so was I right to pass up the opportunity?
