The art prints produced for each Festival of Speed are collector's items. You may not recognise his name, but Peter Hearsey is a staple fixture of the Festival of Speed. Since 1994 he has produced the distinctive piece of artwork that's been featured on each festival's posters, mugs, programmes and all kinds of memorabilia. Yet Hearsey's links with Goodwood go back to the 1950s. Fittingly, for someone who rubs shoulders with racing legends such as Sir Stirling Moss at the festival each year, a young Hearsey was taken to the West Sussex race circuit during the 1950s to watch the likes of Moss, Mike Hawthorn and Tony Brooks compete.
