Can a move upmarket and rear-hinged 'FlexDoors' give Vauxhall's Meriva the upper hand in the urban mini-MPV market? Vicky Parrott puts it up against two key rivals. Vauxhall calls them FlexDoors. Which is understandable when you realise that the phrase more commonly used to describe the rear-hinged closures on its new Meriva is 'suicide doors' - hardly the sort of tag you'd want associated with a family car.
