Totally Equipped To Triumph: that was the launch line for BL's Honda Ballade-based Acclaim and, in a modest way, it was. It was just the kind of small, well kitted saloon that a pensionable Triumph Toledo driver would like. It had novelty on its side, too, not so much technically but for providing the hitherto unlikely possibility of being a BL car that did not need to be returned to the dealer for warranty repairs within a month of having departed the showroom's shiny tiled floor. It didn't drip oil on it, either.
