The Brake has been piling on the miles of late, none more rapidly than those that passed under its wheels on a flying visit to Edinburgh to see something of the Festival Fringe and the Tattoo. This is one kind of ultimate test of such a car: non-stop for several hundred miles, fully laden with all the detritus my family appears unable to leave home without.
