Daimler's drive-on-demand sustem puts you in a Fortwo - and reduces urban congestion. Congestion in the inner city is an undeniable fact of modern living. London's charging system is just one of the countless initiatives designed to combat growing levels of urban traffic, and Daimler has recently added its own scheme to the mix. Car2go is a new inner-city transport scheme launched in the German city of Ulm. It's similar to a car club, but the fleet of 200 Smart Fortwos can be hired on a pay-per-minute basis; rates are currently 19 cents (17p) per minute, 9.90 (￡8.75) for an hour or 49 (￡43) for a day.
