The new Audi RS3 Sportback will have a best-in-class 362bhp and a 0-62mph time of 4.3sec. The hot new five-door will go on sale in the UK next summer at a price, officials suggest, close to the ￡39,950 of its predecessor. The rapid four-wheel-drive hatch, due to be unveiled at the Geneva motor show in March, has been extensively re-engineered. It has a new MOB platform structure that makes extensive use of hot-formed high-strength steel and a bodyshell incorporating an aluminium bonnet. The new model is distinguished visually from the standard A3 by its aggressive front-end styling, which includes a uniquely shaped grille and a prominent bumper with large air ducts. Further back, there are widened front wings and sills. The rear has a bespoke spoiler above the tailgate, a more pronounced bumper with integrated diffuser and two oval tailpipes.
