BMW's X6 SUV crossover has been turned into a different kind of hybrid, one that promises pace as much as green credentials. Let's get the disappointment out of the way first, shall we? Just like the BMW ActiveHybrid 7 that we drove last week, this ActiveHybrid X6 is not going to be produced in right-hand drive. It seems that Brits are so in love with oil-burners, and specifically the X6 xDrive35d, that there's no point. Peter Tuennermann, project leader for the new car, explains: "Diesel is still the preferred choice for Britain. They're not prepared to pay a premium for hybrids like US customers."
