OUR HONDA ACCORD Tourer is winning over its harshest critic. And by that I don't mean me, or indeed any of us here at the office, who mostly really rate this car. I'm talking about the person who, more often than anyone, sits in its left-hand front seat. The reasons why my girlfriend Emma didn't like the Accord when it first arrived at Autocar axe, unsurprisingly, complicated. And slightly irrational. Her first reaction to it was to question our need for an estate car. "We're a young couple; we don't routinely have more to carry than a weekly supermarket shop. And we don't have dogs," I remember her saying (she was particularly forthright about the lack of dogs). "Why do we need this car?" Pretty soon she'd find out.
