In this paper, using CCW method, an attempt has been madeto study the propagation of freely propagating strong hydromagnetic cylindricalshock waves taking into account only constant axial magnetic field through anideal and rotating gas at permissible shock front locations for an arbitary varyinginitial density distribution of the form,say,p_0=p' log(1+Ar),where p'isthe density at the axis of symmetry and A is non-dimensionalyzing constant.Thenumerical estimate of the flow variables have been computed at only on thosevalues of propagation distance r which are permitted by the initial entropydistribution condition. The result obtained has been presented through graphsand compared with earlier work.]
