The Global Energy Observatory: A one-stop site for information on global energy systems

摘要

This paper reviews the energy-development-environment-climate challenge that the world faces and makes a case for why we need to act with urgency and collectively to address it. It introduces an open web-based tool called the Global Energy Observatory (GEO) that is being developed as a moderated wiki to serve as a one-stop site for information on energy systems. GEO's purpose is to help experts and the public understand the dynamics of change in the highly complex network of energy systems and to help accelerate the transition to carbon-neutral and sustainable systems.
