Bioefficacy of Abamectin Against Diamondback Moth, Plutella xylostella

摘要

Three field trials conducted to evaluate the efficacy of Abamectin in cabbage, indicated that abamectin 1.9 EC applied @ 15 g a.i.ha~(-1) is more effective against diamondback moth when compared to the standard checks used. It is followed by abamectin13 g a.i. ha~(-1) and spinosad 45 SC 75 g a.i.ha~(-1). No phytotoxic symptoms were noticed in any of the treatments. Abamectin treated plots recorded the highest marketable yield in all the three experiments. Abamectin @ 15 g a.i.ha~(-1) recorded a cabbage yield of 36.5 - 76.01 ha~(-1) as against 24.1 - 49.01 ha~(-1) in the untreated check.
