FERN AND FERN-ALLIES OF SITAMARHI, A BORDERING DISTRICT OF INDO-NEPAL BORDER

摘要

A detailed survey of the fern flora of Sitamarhi district (lying adjacent of Indo-Nepal border of Bihar state) is a pioneering effort in exploring the pteridophytic vegetation. This floristically virgin area some times witnesses heavy rains and floods. In spite of inundated region, scanty drainage, usar, chaurs and diara and fern-allies belonging to eleven families have been collected and analysed for morphology, ecology and palynology aspects.
