It pays to enhance seed rate of rainfed wheat in hills of Uttar Pradesh

Wheat in hills of Uttar Pradesh is mostly grown as rainfed. For this region early sowing is recommended but due to non-availability of seed in time, and standing rainy season crop in the field, early sowing is not feasible. Similarly line sowing is also not always possible due to small size and irregular shaped terraces. The authors suggest increase in seed rate/ha for hills of Uttar Pradesh.
