The production of N at 1.028 million tonnes and P2O5 at 0.312 million tonnes during May 2014 recorded increase of 12.4% and 47.8%, respectively, over May 2013. Production of all the major fertilisers recorded increase during May 2014 over May 2013. The production of urea rose by 6.3% during May 2014 compared to May 2013. The production of DAP and NP/NPK complex fertilisers registered steep increase of 67.3% and 56.4%, respectively, during the same period. Production of N and P2O5 fell short by 49.0 and 102.2 thousand tonnes from the respective targets during May 2014. The capacity utilisation of N and P2O5 increased from 83.2% and 39.0% during May 2013 to 91.1% and 58.4%, respectively, during May 2014.
