The production of N and P2O5 marked positive growth during July 2010. The production of N at 1.065 million tonnes and P at 0.412 million tonnes during July'10 recorded increase of 1.4% and 7.7%, respectively, over July'09. While the production of urea witnessed a marginal decline of 0.2%, the production of SSP and NP/NPK complex fertilisers recorded increase of 0.7% and 37.5%, respectively, during July'10 over July'09. The production of DAP declined significantly by 21.8% during the period. Production of N and P fell short by 58.8 and 25.6 thousand tonnes, respectively, from the target during July'10. The capacity utilisation of N improved marginally from 102.2% during July 2009 to 103.6% during July 2010. The capacity utilization ofP2O5 increased from 75.9%o to 80.3% during the period.
