摘要

SDS-PAGE of glutenin in seeds of 17 tetraploid and 53 hexaploid wheat cultivars were conducted. The molecular weight of glutenin subunits ranged from 22 to 112 kDa and grouped as low molecular weight (LMW) and high molecular weight (HMW) glutenins. Both LMW and HMW glutenins were analysed for unique bands in tetraploid and 3 hexaploid cultivars based on the different molecular weights. UPGMA cluster analysis showed association between all cultivars. Tetraploid cultivars showed highest similarity coefficient of 0.33 and hexaploid cultivars showed a maximum similarity coefficient of 0.71. The lowest simplicity coefficient among tetraploid and hexaploid cultivars was zero, suggesting a wider variation among hexaploid cultivars than among the tetraploid cultivars in respect of their glutenins.
