Assessment of growing-finishing pig raising systems in a successful cooperative in Batangas*

A successful multipurpose cooperative in the province of Batangas which has been in existence for more than 3 decades already has been into swine business. Undoubtedly, the cooperative is not only helping its members earn while earning also but finding ways to increase its earnings as well and as for this reason this study was conducted specifically to evaluate the management systems, waste disposal practices, productive performance and gross margin in raising growing-finishing pigs so that policieswill be formulated to improve the pig raising systems.
