Philippines' Petron 2015 net income more than doubles

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Petron’s net income surged to Philippine pesos (Ps) 6.3bn ($135m) in 2015 from Ps3bn a year earlier amid higher sales volumes and better refining margins, the producer said on Tuesday. Sales fell by 25% year on year to Ps360.2bn in 2015 despite robust volume growth while operating income soared to Ps18.1bn from Ps7.6bn in 2014, it said in a statement.
