Design and test technology trends in the automotive industry

摘要

Customer expectations for performance and convenience combined with legislative requirements on emissions and fuel economy have changed the automobile, and thus changed the process of developing an automobile. Pushed by these challenges, the automobile has evolved from a mechanical/hydraulic system to include complex electronics and software algorithm systems. Parallel to the evolution of the automobile has been an evolution of the techniques and tools used by engineers to produce automobiles.
