Dairying Better N Better for Tomorrow has been kick-started in South-East Queensland with more than 70 dairy farmers participating in the program during 2006. With support from NRM-SEQ and SEQ-Western Catchments Group and funding from the National Landcare Program, dairy farmers will identify their on-farm environmental priorities and implement actions to address these. Peter Rohan, a dairy farmer from Kerry near Beaudesert said: "Producers are keen to participate in this program to help them to better manage the environment and their natural resources in our region. We are all keen to look after the land as best we can for future generations and look forward to working with our fellow producers".
