IN NEW Zealand pasture legume content has a major influence in modifying lamb response to grass species and will be an important factor in achieving a 400 gram a day growth rate. Tall fescue performance in the field can vary dramatically from 2.50 g/day down to 0 g/day depending on the clover content.
