HOBBY farms are growing in demand in most states and territories. Many of these farms continue to be bought for lifestyle reasons. But there also is a strong trend among city investors to establish vineyards, due to the boom in wine production. In NSW, managing director of Sydney-based Meares and Associates, Chris Meares, says the southern highlands, Hunter Valley and coastal regions are proving popular among city investors.
