The essence of Diggers and Dealers was brought to life when Silver Lake Resources Ltd and Integra Mining Ltd announced a merger at the opening bounce of the conference.Work started on the amicable deal a week leading into the marquee conference and was finalised hours before keynote presenter Rodrigo de Rato hit the stage at the 20th instalment of the event.Upon completion of the deal, which is expected by November/December this year, the new Silver Lake entity will boast a 400,000 ozpa inventory by 2014, with a resource base of 6.6 moz and 1.8 moz in gold reserves.
