Rex rescales Hillside start-up

Rex Minerals Ltd has changed its approach to the Hillside copper project but executive chairman David Carland insists the ultimate goal remains the same. Rex has been working on a feasibility study for Hillside - on South Australia's Yorke Peninsula - for 12 months, but in August the company announced it was adjusting the scope of the study to consider a smaller start-up operation. The original feasibility study was based on a 15 mtpa operation, but the adapted study will investigate the opportunity to start the project at a much smaller rate before scaling up operations in future years.
