Furphy Engineering was given the job to install the four diesel and two unleaded petrol fuel tanks to support mining and local industries in Townsville, Queensland. The six storage tanks were originally specified as carbon steel tanks. However, the decision was taken to convert to stainless steel tanks based on the benefits of increased fuel quality, lower maintenance requirements and project cost savings.
