摘要

The pesticidal efficiency and phytotoxicity of two volatile plant oils, camphor and citronella locally prepared as emulsifiable concentrates against aphid and spider mite infesting eggplant were evaluated. Also, the toxic and repellent effects of lowest successful concentrate of the two oils (1 percent) were tested. Results indicate that the two tested oils at concentrations of l, 2, and 3 percent showed successful effect against the two sucking pests infesting egg-plant without showing any phytotoxic effect on the egg plant. Experiment to determine toxic and repellent effects of oils at 1 percent indicate that the pesticidal efficiency of the two oils is due to their toxic and repellent action.
