Dairy Australia reports on the year past and the one to come

The levy vote and the drought were hot topics at the Dairy Australia Annual General Meeting in Melbourne on November 24. The Dairy Service Levy Poll will be held between February 12 and March 16, 2007. It will ask farmers to vote for one of three levy options - zero, the current rate of 1% of estimated farmgate milk price or an increase of 15%. Dairy Australia will be recommending that the levy be held at the current rate, which is approximately 0.3150 per litre.
