摘要

The state of the human cardiovascular system can be monitored using arterial pressure measurement. Measurement of arterial pressure is the most effective and widely used method in medical practice. The auscultato-ry Korotkov method and oscillometric method are the most frequently used noninvasive methods of measurement of arterial pressure [2]. Certain advantages and disadvantages characterize these methods. Increased stability relative to arm movements and potential stability relative to cardiac rhythm changes are inherent in the auscul-tatory Korotkov method. Sensitivity to external noise and relative microphone-artery positioning are disadvantages of the auscultatory Korotkov method. Relative stability to noise, independence of Korotkov murmur amplitude, and cuff position on the patient's arm are the advantages of the oscillometric method. Relatively low stability to patient arm movements is the main disadvantage of the oscillometric method [1,3].
