Increasing prices of para-xylene (PX) and purified terephthalic acid (PTA),raw materials for polyester,have begun to slow down in Asia.The supply-demand situation is tight;however,this is because prices of polyester or its end product have a weak climbing power and polyester prices are unable to absorb sharply rising material prices.The climbing speed of synthetic raw material prices has slowed down.
