Unitika posted operating profits of 13 billion yen,up 59.5%,because of higher profits in high polymer,fiber and textile business.Sales were 216.9 billion yen,down 7.2%,partly because of lower sales in environmental and functional materials;however,Unitika achieved the expansion of profits through higher sales in film and resin segments as well as improvements in fiber and textile business.In addition to higher operating profits,ordinary profits swung back to the black and registered 10.3 billion yen,2.2 times as well as net profits of 3.5 billion yen.
