Ikenishi Michiko, Creative Director at Itochu Fashion Systems Co., Ltd., indicates, "For fall/winter 2010, the focus will be on new types of voluminous materials, such as sponge-like fabrics. The fabrics have a compact density like Melton or wool astrakhan, and the material is light with subdued hair." She also says, "Another material is completely opposite; that is, an extremely fine type of fabric with very bold textural effects."
