Raw cotto lmports rise to 642,600 tons in 1st 3 Qs

China imported 21,000 tons of raw cotton in september 2003,up 6,600 tons from the same month of 2002,but down 59.2% or 30,000 tons from the previous month.Of this,11,400 tons came from the U.S.,accounting for 54.7% of total cotton imports.
