Cotton Demands Reaching 6 Million Tons in 2005

In repsonse to a sharp increase in spun yarn prodution, demands ofr cotton are expected to increase to 6 millon tons in 2005. Spun yarn production increased to 85 million tons last year, 900,000 tons more than in 2001. Separately, cotton consumption reached 5.8 million tons.
