摘要

Linden Leas Ltd in Cumberland County, Nova Scotia, owned by Frank Foster and his family, and one of the province's largest beef farms with about 700 head, made news earlier this spring (AllNovaScotia.com and the Chronicle Herald) when it became publ ic knowledge that the NovaScotiaFarm Loan Board was calling in an outstanding loan of more than $2 million. Price WaterhouseCoopers has been named interim receiver for the farm at the request of the B ank of Montreal, also with loans in arrears. (Since the Linden Leas story broke, another farm on Nova Scotia's South Shore, owned by Micah Beaumont, also has come under Farm Loan fire. These two are known. It's suspected many more are on the brink.)
