Expo-nential growth: Exhibitors flock to New Brunswick for bumper year at Beef Expo

The 2012 New Brunswick Beef Expo, held on Sept. 22-23, seemed to express the improved general optimism for the beef industry. This year's show featured more cattle, more herds, and more breeds than the past several years. A total of 159 head of cattlewere on show at the Princess Louise Park Show Centre in Sussex, N.B., with a total of 40 exhibitors in the Open Show. In addition to 16 exhibitors from New Brunswick, there were 13 from Prince Edward Island, seven from Nova Scotia, and four from Quebec. The Junior Show was bigger this year as well, with 50 participants in showmanship and 40 in line classes.
