The Maritime Aberdeen Angus Association annual general meeting took place on Dec. 9, at the Experimental Farm's Pavilion in Nappan, N.S. There was an excellent turnout of members. The new executive is as follows: President, Darren Moffitt, Harvey Station, N.B.; Vice President, Tim Dixon, North Tryon, P.E.I.; and Secretary/Treasurer, Betty Lou Scott, Mount Thorn, N.S. Directors include Darren Moffitt and Bob Higgins from New Brunswick, Tim Dixon and Ronnie Ford from Prince Edward Island, and Wilfred Gilby and Bill Scott from Nova Scotia. The delegates to represent the Maritimes at the Canadian Angus AGM in Spruce Meadows, Alta., in July 17-21, are Betty Lou Scott and Darren Moffitt. Also, the three Gold Shows designated for our region in 2008 are the Charlottetown Old Home Week show in August, the Beef Expo Show in New Brunswick in September, and the Maritime Fall Fair show in Halifax in October.
