Serge Piolat became President of The European Apparel & Textile Confederation (Euratex) in January this year for a two-year term. Succeeding Alberto Paccanelli who headed Euratex for four years, Piolat points out, "Alberto Paccanelli achieved impressive results in consolidating the voice of European textile and apparel companies. To further enhance our industry, my intention is to concentrate on a few priority areas; namely, genuine industrial policy, free and fair trade, research and innovation support and sustainable production."
