The Lifestyle Division (textiles and commodities) of Mitsui & Co.(Thailand) Ltd.is expansion-oriented in the retail business sector.Presently,however,nylon 6 fiber for fishing nets is the top item to generate earnings.According to Mitsugi Iwano,Executive Vice President & General Manger,the expected sales at the Lifestyle Division for the fiscal year ending in March 2006 are USUS149 million.As far as textiles alone are concerned,sales will be USUS90 million,up 10% from the preceding year.Textiles consist of yarn,fibers,woven fabrics and apparel products;however,the item to generate the highest earnings is nylon 6 fiber for fishing nets sold to Thai domestic dealers,followed by polyester jersey apparel products for Japanese sportswear apparel firms such as Goldwin.
