Cotton Yarn a Fabric Exports Fall in Value

Indian exports of cotton textile goods climbed 63.42% in volume and 70.69% in dollars during April-July 2005 from the year before to 412.40 million kg valued at USus631.34 million.By item,cotton yarn exports climbed 46.32% in volume to 83.49 million kg,but declined by 10.66% in value to USus136.23 million.Exports of cotton fabrics also increased by 20.75% in quantity to 136.57 million kg,but the value fell by 6.46% to USus121.07 million.Export of cotton made-ups jumped 134.02% in volume and 325.29% in dollars to 192.34 million kg worth USus374.04 million.
