Lithuania’s LNG truck-loading service is expected to start in the first quarter of 2017, LNG terminal operator Klaipedos Nafta says. The truck-loading facility will have two truck berths and five storage tanks each with a capacity of 1,000m~3. Potential sources of demand include customers in Finland and northern Poland, but the main driver is not bun- kering but off-grid gas customers, the firm says. Klaipedos Nafta, which oper- ates the 2.9mn t/yr Klaipeda LNG floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU), will receive ?6mn ($6.7mn) from the EU to develop the LNG truck-loading sta- tion.
