OMV considers ‘Nabucco’ for Black Sea gas

Austria’s OMV is considering building a new pipeline similar to the Nabucco route to carry potential gas finds from the Black Sea to European buyers. “There is a finalised concept, in case OMV needs a way to transport gas from its fields in the Black Sea to Europe,” the company says. But it has not made a decision because it is yet to assess how much gas is available. This could take 1-2 years, OMV says.
