Russia’s Lukoil will have to resume crude deliveries to Ukraine’s Odessa refinery as a condition of the deal under which it sold the plant to Ukraine’s Vetek group. Vetek is gearing up to begin operating the 56,000 b/d plant in June and began preparing a primary distillation unit last week to run Lukoil crude. Lukoil signed an agreement last month to sell the refinery to Vetek, which was formerly called Gaz Ukrainy-2009, and says it expects to conclude the deal by 1 June (FSUE, 7 March, p1).
