Deliveries of jet fuel from Russia, Belarus and Europe to Afghanistan - primarily for Nato forces based there - are falling following the resumption of imports through Pakistan. On 1-25 July, just 15,000t of jet fuel passed through Riga, Ventspils and Tallinn on the way to Afghanistan. Nothing was supplied in June because of a ban on shipments as a result of rail congestion, but supplies were signifi- cantly higher in May and April - at 80,000t and 140,000t, respectively - than in June.
