IGC raises 2016-17 grains output forecast

The International Grains Council (IGC) has revised up its forecast for 2016-17 output by 20mn t to 2.05bn t, on strong increases in maize and wheat production. The IGC continues to predict increased competition between feed grains, largely because of large quantities of feed-grade wheat from this year's harvest. This is likely to continue to weigh on prices.
