Fence Committee Revises Standard for PVC Exterior Profiles Used in Fencing

ASTM SUBCOMMITTEE F14.30 ON Rigid Polymer Fence Systems has revised its PVC exterior profiles standard as F 964-01,Standard Specification for Rigid Poly (Vinyl Chloride) (PVC) Exterior Profiles Used for Fencing.Re-issued in March '02,the six-page specification sets requirements for the material and physical properties of rigid PVC exterior profiles used in agricultural,commercial,and residential fencing and railing.Standard property requirements include dimensional tolerances,extrusion quality,and weatherability.Methods for testing or identifying exterior profile extrusions that comply with this specification are also provided.
