BHP Ltd's plan to withdraw its entire 52 percent stake from Papua New Guinea's Ok Tedi Mining Ltd remains unchanged regardless of the planned merger between BHP and Billiton plc, Mr Vincent Bull, OTML Port Moresby manager, told Dow Jones Newswires (March 21)."I don't think it (the merger) will have any impact. The decision has been made,"he said, adding that shareholders had been discussing various options regarding the pullout.BHP announced last year that it wanted to end its involvement with Ok Tedi by June this year - the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the mine, which has a projected life of 30 years.
