Tajikistan mining operator strengthens its focus on petroleum

Nelson Resources Ltd has appointed its CEO, Mr Kong Teck Soon as concurrent Chairman of the company (February 13) as part of a management restructure to oversee the development of its western Kazakhstan hydrocarbon assets; the Alibekmola and Kozhasai oil and gas fields and its option to the Tenge field.The company was previously known for its 44 percent interest and management control of the Zeravshan Gold Mining company, a joint venture with the Government of Tajikistan, International Finance Corporation and Commonwealth & British Minerals Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of Nelson).
