Results of Cornerstone Resources Myanmar Ltd's first-stage, shallow soil geochemical results from the Longh Keng Zinc Project in central Myanmar indicate a number of significant geochemical anomalies in the area surrounding the known high-grade zinc carbonate deposits (estimated by Cornerstone as 171,000 t at 37 percent Zn). The two known deposits occur 1 km apart on the same fault target which has now been extended an additional 3 km to the SW by the soil sample results.Another large target area has also been defined 4km to the south of the known deposits and covers a larger area of 4 x 3km apparently following a sub-parallel structure to the Longh Keng Fault. A number of subsidiary anomalies also occur.
