ConocoPhillips leads 2005 round winners

THE INDONESIAN MINISTRY OF Energy & Mineral Resources(MEMR)has awarded nine tenders for the July 2005 direct offer bidding round.Of the 13 blocks on offer(see table),11 attracted 23 bids from 21 companies.There were no bids for Northeast Madura V in East Java or Amborip V in the Arafura Sea.ConocoPhillips notably won the Amborip VI block offshore West Papua,which the MEMR first offered in 2002.
